This week in the Public Lab community newsletter, come visit Public Labbers at Maker Faire NYC (today!), read about a project aerial mapping in Louisiana and find out how you can support the Public Lab nonprofit. Enjoy!

Public Lab at Maker Faire NYC. For all our friends in NYC who are headed to Maker Faire today, stop by the Public Lab booth and come to the Public Lab panel starting at 3pm on the Make: Live Stage.

Barnraising 2013. Only two weeks away, registration is technically closed, but if you'd really like to come, we'd love to have you! More information on the barnraising here and/or you can contact with questions.

Barataria Bay aerial mapping project. We're excited to announce that Patagonia Clothing Company will be supporting a project to map twenty sites in Louisiana. If you're interested in getting involved, either in person or remotely, please contact and hop on the Gulf Coast Google Group.

Support Public Lab. Currently, there are a number of ways to contribute to the Public Lab nonprofit without leaving your keyboard:

  1. Donate here to support the work we do with communities around the world.

  2. Help us win $5,000 by voting for Public Lab, brought to you by our friends at GivKwik

  3. Help us spread the word about our work by clicking "vote with your voice" over at The Feast.
