The cattail marsh along Otter Creek and the adjacent field are part of Otter View Park, which was recently conserved by the Middlebury Area Land Trust and the Otter Creek chapter of the Audubon Society.

The photos were captured on November 18, 2011 during two flights of a Levitation Delta kite: one with a Canon S95 and one with a Canon SD1100.

I stitched together 34 photos from this flight into a seamless version of this view:

Somehow the capture date was entered wrong for this map. The images were captured on November 18, 2011, not October 28. Unfortunately, this error has been propagated to Google Earth. It is not obvious to me how I can change that date. Thanks for your help.

Speaking of Google Earth, this map is georeferenced rather poorly there. I guess we just have to wait for the next update to see if that gets fixed?

Thanks Chris I changed the date. I must have used that date from EXIF data or something like that before. I'll have to look at the overlay offset and see what went wrong. The Google Earth imagery team was not able to initially import almost 20% of the GeoTIFFs that work in the PLOTS Archive. I am going to try to go through the list and see if I can help them get those ones working. I anticipate that Google will update PLOTS data around 2-3 times a year, but it is only my guess.
